Security, Intelligence & Defence

Over the past few years there has been an increasing emphasis placed upon intelligence-led and threat related corporate security within most medium to large organisations. The responsibilities and skill sets required of Security Directors within this specialisation are broad and to a certain degree, dependent upon the sector. These would include for example physical, personnel, close protection, compliance, pre-employment screening, crisis management planning, business continuity, disaster recovery, investigative, anti-money laundering, financial crime, identity theft, anti-counterfeiting, anti-activists, supply chain theft, IT security, information protection and travel security.

Peter Woolley OBE DL is the principal consultant in our Security, Intelligence and Defence practice. Following a successful career in the army, which included international, operational and security roles, Peter has been an established headhunter for 11 years: he has an extensive range of security contacts. He has been specialising in assignments associated with corporate security since then and has a particularly thorough knowledge of the evolving requirements of the financial, pharmaceutical, utilities and transport sectors.

"....due to the highly professional support from GBR Search we were able to develop an optimal career transition strategy for one of our very top Managers. The assignment contained five major steps and thanks to their market awareness and diligence we were delighted to receive excellent results in a very short time. We were especially impressed by the flexibility and professionalism of the GBR Search team and they placed the most interesting corporate security and business intelligence networks at the disposal of our candidate..."
